is a writer and editor, specializing in pop culture, gossip, and lifestyle journalism. She works at NYMag's The Cut, which she helped re-launch in August 2012. Prior to that, she covered political and celebrity gossip for Gawker.  The New York Times called her a "rising star of gossip blogs" in 2010. New York  named her one of "21 New Media Innovators" in 2011, the year she uncovered sexy pictures that led to the resignation of a U.S. Congressman.

Maureen has appeared regularly on the Today Show, The View, Good Morning America, Piers Morgan Tonight, CNN's Newsroom,  and Nightline. Her writing has appeared in The Daily Beast, The Los Angeles Times, and The New York Daily News.
